عمون- لأول مرة يصدر كتاب باللغة الإنجليزية في مجلدين كبيرين عن تاريخ مملكة بيريا الأردنية، وعاصمتها السلط المحروسة، التي استمرت من 12000 قبل الميلاد الى 450 ميلادي، لتسجل بذلك أطول مدة استمرت بها مملكة في العالم الكتاب من تأليف المؤرخ المفكر المعارض السياسي د. احمد عويدي العبادي( أبو البشر ونمي ) المتخصص في الشؤون الأردنية بعامة ، وتاريخ الأردن وسياسته وعشائره ومجتمعه وجغرافيته وله عشرات المؤلفات والمترجمات المطبوعة والمخطوطة عن الأردن في هذه المجالات
الكتاب كان صدر بالعربية للمؤلف نفسه (2023) أيضا بعنوان ( المملكة الأردنية المنسية، بيريا وعاصمتها السلط المحروسة ) , ثم قام المؤلف بترجمته الى الإنجليزية مع إضافات تتفق مع النسخة الإنجليزية، ليصدر بعنوان Perea- the Jordanian Forgotten Kingdom.

يعتبر هذا الكتاب بالنسختين العربية والانجليزية هو الأول من نوعه عن السلط المحروسة، وبذلك يعبئ فراغا هاما في المكتبة الأردنية والعربية في هذا المجال
الجدير بالذكر ان د . احمد عويدي العبادي ( أبو البشر ونمي) عقيد متقاعد من الامن العام الأردني، وحصل اثناء خدمته على درجة الدكتوراه من جامعة كامبريدج البريطانية( علوم سياسية واجتماعية ) والماجستير من معهد الدراسات الإسلامية بالقاهرة(دراسات إسلامية بمرتبة ممتاز مع درجة الشرف / بالانتساب ), والبكالوريوس من جامعة بيروت العربية (جغرافيا بمرتبة جيد بالانتساب ) , وكان عضوا في مجلس النواب لدورتين ( 1989 , 1997) م، وله عدة مؤلفات عن ممالك الأردن القديمة.

For the first time, a new book titled "The History of the Jordan Kingdom of Perea" is being released in English in two large volumes. Authored by Dr. Ahmad Oweidi Al-Abbadi, a historian, thinker, and Jordanian political opposition figure, the book delves into the history of the Jordanian Kingdom of Perea and its fortified capital, Al-Salt, which thrived from 12,000 BC to 450 AD, marking the longest duration of any kingdom in the world.
Dr. Al-Abbadi, also known as Abu Dr. Al-Bishr and Dr . Nomayy, is an authority on Jordanian affairs, specializing in the history, tribes, society, politics and geography of Jordan. With dozens of printed publications and manuscripts on these subjects, he brings a wealth of expertise to this groundbreaking work.
Originally published in Arabic as "The Forgotten Jordanian Kingdom, Perea and its Fortified Capital, Al-Salt," the book has now been translated into English by the author himself, with additional content tailored to the English-speaking audience. The English version is titled "Perea - The Jordanian Forgotten Kingdom."
This book ( available now in both Arabic and English ), fills a significant gap in Jordanian and Arab libraries by providing comprehensive insights into the fortified city of Al-Salt.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Ahmad Oweidi Al-Abbadi (Abu Al-Bishr and Nomayy) acquired his academic qualifications while serving in the police force.
He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge, UK, in Political and Social Sciences, a Master's degree from the Institute of Islamic Studies in Cairo, specializing in Islamic Studies with distinction and honors, and a Bachelor's Degree from the Arab University of Beirut in Geography, where he achieved a high ranking.
In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Al-Abbadi served as a colonel in the police force and was elected twice as a member of the Jordanian Parliament for two terms (1989, 1997). He has authored numerous publications on the ancient kingdoms of Jordan, further establishing his authority in this field.
